Karen Diane Johnson Foster
Obituary of Karen D Foster

Karen Diane Johnson Foster (KK), age 58, passed away on November 27, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on July 5, 1963 to James William and Sandra Shields Johnson. Karen grew up in Shreveport but resided in east Texas for more than 15 years. She had a career in paper sales working for Castle Multi forms, Western paper, and XpedX. Karen had a beautiful voice, loved music and could play most instruments. She was talented in painting and loved to decorate, plan parties, and most of all, play tricks on someone. She was the caretaker of our family and cooked like our grandmother without a recipe. She was blessed with two beautiful children, Michael and Rebecca, which she loved and maintained loving relationships with. She was closest to her sisters that always supported her in everything; as we affectionately called it, “Team KK”. She has first cousins that she made a point to get together with and called it “Cousins Dinner”. Karen was raising her grandson Hunter Johnson for the last 11 years with the help of family in DeBerry, Texas.

She is survived by her step father, Don Johnson, sisters, Kristin Walker and husband Breland, Shelia McCollum and husband Josh; and her children, Michael Johnson, Rebecca Daniel and her husband Blake Daniel. Karen is also survived by her grandchildren, Camden Zylicz and Hunter Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends that she considered family.

Karen was proceeded in death by her father James W. Johnson Jr.,mother Sandra Ann Shields Johnson and her brother Jimmy Dewayne Johnson who she loved, missed and adored.

Karen’s wishes will be honored in that she will be cremated.

A memorial of Karen’s life will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at Centuries Memorial on Mansfield Road.

Special Thanks to Michael Hattaway and Papa Don, The Carthage Fire Department and hospital staff. Thank you to CCU staff at Willis Knighton North for comforting our family and doing everything possible for her.
